Who Agriburbia Works With

Agriburbia® can be implemented at many levels and markets.

The TSR Group, who founded Agriburbia®, are a professional Development Mangagement and Planning and Design firm who see the Agriburbia model as a sustainable development model for future.

Cities - Parks & Opens Space

Counites - Parks, Public Land

Partner with Agriburbia to create income genearating use of lands that would otherwise require resources to maintain.

Utilites can make sustainable use of lands which would otherwise be left unproductive and under utilized.

School Distircts

Hosptial Districts

School Districts can partner with Agriburbia to produce food on school gournd to be consumed by students improving nutrition, offering educational opportunities, all while saving on expenses.

Many exisiting developments have open areas which are well suited to Agriburbia opportunites. Commerical office parks can turn lawn areas into edible landscapes. Existing housing developments can convert parks and open areas to food production for the community or sale the produce to cover expenses.

Agriburbia offers homeowners several options for transforming yard area to an edible landscape. Depending on the yards size and the needs of the homeowners, options include consulting only, or the full Agriburbia partnership.

Homeowners Associations often have collective land which is perfect for community Agriburbia production. In the future, having Agriburbia partnering with the HOA may add resell value to homes and the community.

Land Development

Example Project: Platte River Village - Milliken, CO

agriburbia dev example

This project involved planning, design, engineering and project management services in support of our client’s development of a 640-acre parcel annexed in the Town of Milliken, Weld County Colorado. It includes 980 living spaces from multi-family town homes to horse lots.

The Platte River Village is a mixed use single and multi family residential development with approximately 24 acres of mixed-use neighborhood commercial and a fire station. Land has also been allotted for future community needs such as a Community Park with playing fields.

3d plan

This development is designed using Agriburbia® where traditional landscaping is replaced with orchards, vineyards and annual and perennial crops for the use and enjoyment of the development and surrounding communities. Most of the open space is designed as a productive or for profit landscape and will be owned and actively managed by the Home Owner’s Association (HOA) or private entity leasing the land. It is anticipated that these crops will generate jobs within and outside the community.
