Spinach Under The Powerlines

Power lines cross the county and cities. In many situations this land is well suited for conversion to Agriburbia. The land has established access roads and is often located where irragation resources and be tapped.

Lettuce In The Schoolyard

Schools often have under used land. By adding an Agriburbia site to the school yard the school both gains a demonstration garden and a fresh supply of lettuce, as well as saving on lawn watering and mowing

Public Lands

Many public entities (School Districts, Utilities, Municipalities, to name only a few) hold land as part of their public trust.

These lands are often under used since in the past small units of land were not considered for agricultural use. BUT Agriburbia developments track all land use in units of square feet. In the past, we have used the acre as the physical and psychological unit of measure for land use. But as the intensity of our habitation continues to grow, we can no longer use such gross units for measuring how we interact with the planet.
